The National Treatment Purchase Fund (NTPF) is committed to ensuring that patients have access to timely and effective healthcare services. To achieve this goal, we need a skilled Patient Service Advocate to join our team.
About the Job DescriptionAs a Patient Service Advocate, you will be responsible for contacting patients by phone to arrange hospital appointments and providing them with information about their treatment options. You will work closely with our commissioning team to target patients who reject outpatient offers, providing them with additional support and guidance to help them make informed decisions about their care.
You will also work with public hospitals to update patient records and provide on-site support where needed. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of patients and contribute to the smooth operation of our healthcare system.
Responsibilities:
- Establish communication channels with patients to facilitate access to healthcare services.
- Coordinate the transfer of patients from public hospitals to alternative treatment facilities.
- Provide patients with information about their treatment options and facilitate informed decision-making.
- Work with public hospitals to update patient records and provide on-site support where needed.
- Meet weekly call targets and participate in regular training sessions.
