Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Systems Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-precision automated electro-mechanical systems.

About the Role

This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in design and development of complex systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate electromechanical sub-assemblies into sophisticated systems, including fluidics, optics, sensing, electronics, and software elements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-precision automated electro-mechanical systems
  • Integrate electromechanical sub-assemblies into complex systems
  • Develop technical solutions to enhance product reliability and process capability
  • Apply LEAN/Six Sigma practices and principles to develop reliable robust designs
  • Utilize CAD design skills and product lifecycle management (PLM) knowledge to drive innovation
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or equivalent
  • 8 years of relevant experience; consideration given to individuals with alternative degrees balanced by relevant technical experience
  • High pace, ownership mindset, accountability, and responsibility
  • Ability to make informed key decisions to drive business forward
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, experience in coaching and mentoring team members
