Head of Software Engineering - SaaS Start Up

We are seeking an experienced Head of Software Engineering to join our brand-new SaaS start-up in Ireland. As the first member of our team, you will have the unique opportunity to build the product and engineering function from the ground up.

This role is ideal for an ambitious software engineering leader who is ready to take on a high degree of autonomy. You will be building a new SaaS product for a forward-thinking technology company.

In this position, you will be responsible for deciding on the technology stack, owning the technology roadmap, and building a team of software engineers.

The leadership team has a clear product vision, and we are looking for talented individuals to join us at an early stage and share in our success.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of our SaaS product as Head of Software Engineering
  • Establish and lead the engineering team from scratch
  • Making key strategic technology decisions to ensure long-term success
  • Cultivate a culture of innovation and excellence within the team
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a senior leader of software engineering teams (CTO, Head of Engineering, Senior Engineering Manager or similar)
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills
  • A track record of successfully developing technology products
  • Strong hands-on software engineering skills
