**Job Overview:**

We are excited to partner with a well-established solicitors firm in Kildare to recruit for the permanent part-time position of Accounts Manager. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of the organization.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of client and office banks, including online banking payments, cheque payments, lodgements, recording bank transactions on the accounts system, and reconciling banks.
  • Maintain petty cash records.
  • Handle accounts payable by recording supplier invoices, managing supplier payments, and addressing supplier queries.
  • Manage accounts receivable, including client invoicing and credit control.
  • Maintain client matter ledgers in accordance with Solicitors Accounts Regulations.
  • Prepare compliance reports in accordance with Solicitors Accounts Regulations.
  • Process staff expenses.
  • Handle payroll, including ROS submissions and reporting.
  • Manage VAT & VIES returns, including ROS submissions.
  • Record and reconcile Land Registry, Court Franking, and CRO accounts.
  • Submit Revenue Commissioners Stamp Duty returns.
  • Supervise Accounts Assistant and outsourced bookkeeping support where required.
  • Manage the Nominal Ledger, including processing necessary journal entries.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports for management.
  • Liaise with external financial advisors and auditors.


Requirements:
  • Accounting Technician or similar accounting qualification
  • 2-3 years' experience in a legal accounts position
  • Knowledge of Legal Accounting Systems (preferably Keyhouse Case Management & Sam Accounts System)
  • Knowledge of VAT rates and VAT reporting obligations
  • Familiarity with online banking processes
  • Knowledge of solicitors' accounts regulations
  • A proactive and professional attitude
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong communication skills
