Purchasing Director Role Overview.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchasing Director to lead our purchasing and procurement activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing and supply chain management, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing purchasing and procurement activities across all divisions, ensuring effective structures, procedures, and processes are in place. They will analyze market trends and risks affecting supplier pricing, availability, and delivery, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.

The Purchasing Director will also create and maintain detailed records on procurement software, provide strategic analysis of procurement activities, and monitor and report on group spending across all divisions. They will negotiate key contracts with vendors and clients, consolidate current spending to achieve significant cost savings, and develop and maintain strong inventory control systems and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective purchasing and procurement strategies across all divisions.
• Analyze market trends and risks affecting supplier pricing, availability, and delivery.
• Create and maintain detailed records on procurement software.
• Provide strategic analysis of procurement activities and monitor group spending.
