Job Opportunity: Childcare Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our childcare team as a Childcare Assistant. As a Childcare Assistant, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and education to children in a school-age childcare setting.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To co-ordinate the implementation of activities suitable for different age groups and promote children's development.
  • Maintain a professional standard at all times, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children.
  • Support children with homework and engage them in educational activities that foster their learning and growth.
  • Serve children breakfast and dinner, promoting healthy eating habits and mealtimes as opportunities for social interaction.

Key Requirements:

  • A minimum QQI/Fetac Level 5 qualification in Early Learning and Care or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Experience working with children in a school-age childcare setting is an advantage but not essential, as training can be provided.
