The role of AgencyCommunity Nurse is a vital part in supporting the HSE Public Health Team in Wicklow. This position is based in Greystones and will require some travel, making it an excellent opportunity for those who enjoy variety in their work.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing wound care management, diabetes management, incontinence assessment and management, home visiting, nursing assessment post hospital discharge or GP referral, general nursing care for chronically ill or disabled patients, oncology support and end of life care, and nursing assessment for home supports.

This role offers a great work-life balance with weekends off and no late nights. The hours are flexible and negotiable, allowing for a comfortable schedule. A full driving license is preferable but not essential.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Wound care management – both in clinic and in the domiciliary setting
  • Diabetes management
  • Incontinence assessment and management
  • Home visiting
  • Nursing assessment post hospital discharge/GP referral
  • General nursing care for the chronically ill or disabled
  • Oncology support and end of life care
  • Nursing assessment for home supports
