Job Title: Operations Director
About the Role:The Pen Needle Operations Director oversees all Pen Needle assembly and packaging operations, collaborating with various teams to meet key objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the production team to deliver on safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people objectives.
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations across the plant.
- Verify that all manufactured devices meet quality and regulatory requirements.
- Optimize resource planning to ensure efficient flow of units through the manufacturing process.
- Monitor and manage stock levels of work-in-progress in the production areas.
- Ensure the production area adheres to environmental standards.
- Play a lead role in internal and external audits.
- Develop team members through coaching, delegation, and performance reviews.
- Collaborate with improvement teams to enhance work processes and methods.
- Lead the weekly productivity and efficiency review process.
- Support project planning as required.
- A third-level degree in manufacturing, engineering, or science, combined with relevant experience in high-volume manufacturing.
- At least 5 years of experience in a production supervisory or management role.
- Thorough knowledge of production management principles.
- Preferably, at least 5 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with budgetary control procedures.
- The ability to lead, work collaboratively, and work independently as needed.
- Proactive, anticipating potential problems and staying ahead.
- Familiarity with engineering and improvement concepts associated with high-volume, technically complex manufacturing units.
