The successful candidate will join a dynamic team at a Nursing Home in Sligo, where they will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of exceptional nursing and social care tailored to each resident's needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee clinical standards, conduct assessments, and manage care plans to maintain high-quality outcomes.
  • Supervise medication administration, conduct audits, and liaise with GPs and pharmacies to ensure compliance with best practices and improve medication management standards.
  • Lead and mentor CNMs, nurses, and care assistants, providing ongoing training and development.
  • Foster a professional, caring approach among staff to ensure residents receive the highest standard of care.
  • Perform regular clinical, environmental, and medication audits.
  • Develop and implement action plans to maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in collaboration with the Director of Nursing.
  • Serve as a key contact for residents and families, addressing concerns promptly and supporting a person-centred care approach.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to enhance the resident experience.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with active registration on the NMBI.
  • Minimum of 2 years management experience.
  • Post-registration qualification in gerontology and/or dementia care is highly desirable.
  • Eligible to work in Ireland.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills with a focus on team motivation and continuous professional development.
