As a young boy, Stephen Daly would spend hours at an airport, watching aircraft take off and land. Today, he's a commercial airline pilot.

A Journey to Becoming an Airline Pilot

Stephen's journey was not an easy one. He faced numerous challenges and setbacks along the way, but his determination and passion for flying kept him going.

Training and Hard Work

Stephen completed his commercial pilot training at a reputable flight school in Spain, where he learned the skills and knowledge necessary to become a safe and competent pilot. He also won several scholarships, including one that helped fund his training.

First Flight Experience

Stephen's first flight as a commercial airline pilot was a memorable one. He recalls feeling a sense of excitement and pride as he took to the skies in an Airbus A320 aircraft. The experience was made even more special by the fact that he got to fly over an airport where he had spent countless hours as a boy, watching planes take off and land.

Life as a First Officer

Since starting his role as a First Officer, Stephen has found the experience to be extremely positive. He enjoys the high standards of instruction and the great work-life balance that comes with working on a rotating roster.

Future Ambitions

Despite achieving his goal of becoming an airline pilot, Stephen is eager to continue pursuing his passion for flying. In the future, he aims to obtain his Instructor Rating and eventually become a Type Rating Instructor. He also hopes to fly the Airbus A330, which he finds to be a versatile and intriguing aircraft.
