Job Opportunity: Autism Practitioner

Person-Centred Support Worker Required

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to provide person-centred support to individuals with autism in residential settings.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about promoting independence, social inclusion, and overall well-being in line with HIQA guidelines and standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing practical resources and strategies to support communication and thinking in individuals with autism.

About the Role:
  • To assess and meet the needs of individuals with autism through a strengths-based approach.
  • To develop and implement personalised plans to support individuals with autism in achieving their goals.
  • To provide support with daily living activities, education, and employment opportunities.
  • To maintain accurate records and reports of individual progress and development.
Key Responsibilities:
  • To promote social inclusion and independence among individuals with autism.
  • To develop and implement effective strategies to support communication and thinking skills.
  • To work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
  • To maintain high-quality records and reports of individual progress.
Requirements:
  • Level 7 qualification in Social Care/Studies from an accredited institution or equivalent.
  • At least one year of recent experience in a similar role.
  • Full, clean manual driving licence.
  • A thorough understanding of HIQA regulations and CORU Registration.
