Job Overview

This role is for a seasoned technology professional to work closely with business stakeholders and IT managers in enhancing and maintaining critical Global Investment business systems.

The successful candidate will translate business and functional requirements into technical specifications, create system documentation, and drive operational improvements across business software tools.

The position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as effective communication skills in English. The ability to diagram workflows and communicate complex dataflows and system integrations is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify solutions via business and systems requirements and processes.
  • Document project goals, workflows, complex business needs, gaps, and opportunities through internal workshops and meetings.
  • Determine how changing business needs affect a system, product, and process.
  • Drive 'outside the box' thinking to solve difficult problems.
  • Build knowledge of industry trends and technologies to drive implementation of critical functionalities.
  • Work with third-party vendors and Systems Development teams to ensure business requirements are met.
  • Understand product architecture and functionality to assess feature requests.
  • Estimate value, develop use cases, and prioritize work aligned with product strategy.
  • Coordinate with project managers on scope, time, and sizing estimates.
  • Assist with testing application enhancements, including writing test plans.
  • Investigate, triage, diagnose, and resolve complex application issues.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in mathematics, finance, or computer science is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar IT Business Analyst role working with Investment systems.
  • Experience with financial market-related data sets and asset classes is required.
  • Strong familiarity with Eagle Pace is preferred.
  • Proficiency in SQL Queries is required.
  • Data management best practices knowledge is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business concepts applicable to a multi-faceted financial services organization is preferred.
  • Related business experience is beneficial.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Ability to effectively work independently and in a team.
  • Create effective business solutions with minimal direction.
  • Strive to share knowledge and achieve common goals within a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.

Technical Requirements:

  • Excel-based formulas and calculations understanding.
  • Development issue and project tracking tools experience (TFS, Jira, Azure DevOps) may be beneficial.
  • Agile environment experience working with offshore/remote development teams.
