Operations Manager

We are seeking a driven professional to lead our hospitality operations team. The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of the industry and excellent knowledge of food and beverage.

The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets while maintaining low operational costs, ensuring staffing levels meet hotel standards and promoting operational excellence.

This role may suit an experienced Venue Manager looking to advance their career or a skilled Operations Manager seeking a new challenge.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Achieve revenue goals by optimizing labour, food and beverage supply costs.
  2. Maintain optimal staffing levels and ensure adherence to hotel standards.
  3. Implement company guidelines on suppliers, service quality, venue presentation and customer service.
  4. Conduct regular stock takes and monitor key performance indicators, including gross profit, labour costs and revenue.
  5. Collaborate with the audit team to develop loss prevention procedures.
  6. Address HR issues and provide follow-up in writing or email.
  7. Ensure smooth service operations, maintain hygiene standards and provide excellent customer contact as per operations manager's guidelines.
  8. Ensure compliance with fire, health and safety regulations.
  9. Oversee weekly staff training across departments.
  10. Complete and approve departmental rosters, ensuring appropriate staffing ratios.
  11. Perform random room checks and sign off on Room Service checklists with the Accommodation Manager.
  12. Conduct monthly departmental audits and report findings to department managers.
Requirements:
  • Calm leadership skills to guide the team effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills, with proficient spoken and written English.
  • Prior experience in revenue management, food and beverage, forecasting and budgeting within an Irish property is desirable.
