We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Manager to lead our nursing team in Cork. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for implementing change and driving innovation within the home.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and implement change initiatives, focusing on HIQA standards and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and maintain a culture of leadership, innovation, and creativity among staff and residents.
- Conduct audits and supervise daily checks to ensure high-quality nursing care, including medication management and resident safety.
- Supervise the reception and orientation of new residents, ensuring a seamless transition.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care needs, addressing physical, psychological, social, and spiritual requirements.
- Provide support, guidance, and supervision to nursing and care staff, promoting their development and well-being.
- Maintain a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors, contributing to a positive and respectful culture.
- Collaborate with colleagues to facilitate effective communication and coordinate daily resident handovers.
- Nursing experience: Minimum 2 years in an Irish nursing home setting, with at least 5 years' overall nursing experience.
- Management experience: Preferably holding SSN or CNM qualifications, but not essential as training can be provided.
- Communication skills: High-level English proficiency is essential.
- Special interest: An enthusiasm for gerontology, infection control, or dementia care is desirable, with relevant courses undertaken.
