Are you passionate about supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Intellectual Difficulties? We are seeking a dedicated and caring Care Assistant to join our team.
- The successful candidate will work as part of a team to ensure service objectives are met and reviewed, maintaining and improving the service for residents.
- They will support individuals in achieving their full potential, managing risk in a systematic way that promotes safety, welfare, and quality of life.
- Liaising with service users, their network of support, family members, and other professionals is essential to ensure consistent planning.
- Key responsibilities include facilitating individual programs of meaningful activities, supporting regular exercise and outdoor activities, and working in partnership with colleagues and management to establish, maintain, and monitor standards of performance.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism. Requirements:- QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare (all 8 modules completed).
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual disability/ASD is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with stakeholders are essential.
As a Care Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting individuals with their daily needs, including intimate care. You will also be required to work flexible hours, including weekends and sleepovers.
