Job Summary:

A Manufacturing Production Specialist will be responsible for the conception, design, development and installation of new products or production lines. Key responsibilities include improving production processes to become more cost-effective and efficient over time, resolving technical problems and selecting precision tools for different machines.

Key Accountabilities:
Support manufacturing by resolving issues, providing tools, and implementing new products into production.
Lead process optimisation using engineering and continuous improvement techniques to streamline product flow through the manufacturing cell.
Use industrial engineering techniques and standards to establish resource requirements and material flow.
Analyse product structures and processes to eliminate inefficiencies and reduce costs.
Perform Design of Experiments (DOE) to optimise manufacturing cell performance.
Maintain compliance with quality and regulatory standards in the manufacturing area.
Evaluate and recommend improvements to quality control processes.
Analyse and report on production processes, downtime, cycle times, machine availability, and waste management.
Ensure manufacturing processes comply with policies and relevant laws.
Review tool and equipment costs, predict future production overheads, and optimise workflow, space, and equipment placement.
Coordinate maintenance and repairs to keep equipment operational.
Ensure staff adhere to procedures when operating equipment.
Oversee the work of technicians and personnel.
Establish effective work sequences to maximise efficiency.
