**Job Description**

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join our team in Dublin. As a key member of our financial operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our financial records.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the accounting operations for a group of companies, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation and review of financial statements, income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, maintaining accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Oversee VAT reporting and compliance, ensuring timely and accurate filing of VAT returns.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, ensuring accurate matching of transactions and resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely posting of transactions.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing audit queries.
  • Liaise with third-party service providers, such as banks and financial institutions, to manage company accounts and financial transactions.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to management, supporting strategic decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably with exposure to financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, financial analysis, audits, and tax filing.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial controls in the UK and Irish market.
  • Familiarity with accounting practices and regulations in the German market would be a plus.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Professional qualifications such as CAI (Chartered Accountant Ireland), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) are highly desirable.
  • Experience with IFRS and FRS 102 is mandatory.
  • Experience in a group of companies with multi-entities.
