Job Overview

As a skilled Procurement Specialist, you will play a vital role in the success of our organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Placing material, plant and equipment orders;
  2. Creation and management of purchase orders;
  3. Interface with site to book deliveries;
  4. Manage materials, plant and equipment from yard;
  5. Vendor onboarding;
  6. Strategic approach to sourcing new suppliers, negotiate best price and lead time;
  7. Monitor supplier performance; manage stakeholders;
  8. Vet existing supply chain; negotiate terms and conditions;
  9. Source and procure equipment;
  10. Assess potential suppliers for quality;
  11. Support continuous improvements;
  12. Verify and authorise supplier invoices;
  13. Support data analysis and reporting objectives of the procurement team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

For this role, we are looking for individuals with a minimum of 5 years' buying/procurement experience in civil projects. Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills are essential as you will be communicating with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

A keen eye for detail and strong administrative skills are required. Proficiency in using MS Suite is essential.

Candidates should also have clear and relevant examples of their career achievements in a similar role.
