Our client is a well-established main contractor in the UK, Ireland, and select European countries. They undertake capital projects for large pharma, technology, and food companies, constructing turnkey or substructure projects ranging from €30 million to €150 million.
The successful candidate will lead the company's health and safety operations on their Irish projects, reporting directly to an Operations Director. Key responsibilities include supervising teams of safety advisors and managers, ensuring statutory inspections are recorded, conducting regular site audits, and delivering health and safety induction programmes.
Additional duties include chairing safety meetings, assessing subcontractor statements and method statements, advising on method statements, and compiling emergency plans. A minimum of 10 years' experience in health and safety management is essential, along with excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Experience managing safety on-site
- Health and safety certification (Degree or Diploma)
