Industrial Electrical Technician Opportunity

Kepak Group, a leading player in the Irish meat industry, is seeking an Industrial Electrical Technician to join our team at our production facility in Athleague, Co. Roscommon.

This 4-year apprenticeship programme, in partnership with SOLAS, provides comprehensive training and the opportunity to achieve a QQI Level 6 qualification as an Electrician.

As an Industrial Electrical Technician, you will work closely with a Mentor who will guide and support you throughout your apprenticeship.

We are looking for motivated and hardworking individuals who are eager to learn and contribute to our team's success.

Programme Details
  • This structured apprenticeship programme leads to a QQI Level 6 qualification as an Electrician.
  • We register the Apprenticeship with SOLAS and support all of the SOLAS training requirements.
  • We provide all necessary tools, personal protective equipment, and training.
  • The role involves 8-hour shifts, normally on a Mon-Fri basis.

Main Responsibilities
  • Carry out effective Planned Preventative Maintenance as directed.
  • Conduct maintenance and rectification works following audits, inspections, and production reports.
  • Work to improve plant and equipment efficiency, reducing repeat failures and improving site productivity.
  • Maintain clean and organized workshops, plant rooms, and engineering storage areas.
  • Ensure workshop tools and equipment are serviceable, clean, and ready for use.
  • Keep up-to-date records of work completed using paper-based and computer systems.
  • Support the engineering team to reduce production downtime and meet departmental goals.
  • Responsible for booking out spares used from engineering stores and highlighting additional spare parts required.
