Establishing a Residential Care Team

A full-time position of 37.5 hours is available for a Person In Charge in Ballyagran, Limerick.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Degree in Applied Social Studies/Social Care or relevant qualification or eligible for CORU registration or be CORU Registered.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with adults/children with intellectual disabilities.
  • Proven managerial skills with a minimum of three years' experience at a management level and an appropriate management qualification of a minimum of a QQI level 6.
  • Ability to work on his/her own initiative and supervise service users/staff in a residential setting.
  • Experience of managing behaviours that challenge.
  • Good organisation and communications skills.
  • Full manual driving license.

The successful candidate will:

  • Ensure the service users' needs are being met.
  • Teach the service users necessary daily living and social skills through daily activities.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with the service users.
  • Engage in activities and complete household tasks.
  • Keep accurate record of service user's documentation.
  • And complete other tasks that may be required as part of their role.
