Procurement Manager

We are seeking a professional to join our team on a full-time basis. Your main responsibilities will be sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing mechanical components and equipment necessary for the company's operations.

Key areas of focus include supplier management, material sourcing, collaboration, cost negotiation, order management, and risk management.

Supplier Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with Mechanical component suppliers.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Material Sourcing

  • Source and procure equipment and materials in accordance with project specifications and production requirements.
  • Evaluate potential suppliers for quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and pricing.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with engineering, estimating, surveying, and construction operations teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on procurement strategies.

Cost Negotiation

  • Negotiate favourable terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings without compromising quality or delivery schedules.
  • Analyse price proposals, financial reports, and other data to determine reasonable prices.

Order Management

  • Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Track and expedite orders to meet production and project timelines.

Risk Management

  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Maintain awareness of market trends, geopolitical events, and other factors that may impact the supply chain.

Requirements

A minimum of 5 years' experience preferably within the Mechanical Sector is required. Excellent Computer and report writing skills are essential. Desirable: Results Orientation, Pharmaceutical procurement experience, Commercial Acumen, Excellent attention to detail, Ability to work on their own initiative, Team Worker/builder, Innovate & improve processes, Good knowledge of Mechanical Suppliers & Subcontractors.
