General Manager Position

This senior leadership role is seeking a highly experienced Operations and Engineering professional to lead the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facility in Cavan, Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and excellence
  • Lead the operations, engineering/quality, procurement, and administration functions
  • Manage the operations department to meet customer expectations and on-time delivery
  • Ensure optimum performance of HR processes, including hiring and training
  • Build relationships with key customers in diverse markets
  • Set objectives and improve systems and procedures
  • Collaborate with sales/account management functions and customers to deliver total satisfaction
  • Lead a team to achieve organisational objectives to the highest standards
  • Assume responsibility for health and safety standards throughout the organisation
  • Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for new business
  • Implement ongoing continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience at a management level within manufacturing and engineering
  • In-depth knowledge of machining and fabrication or related production processes desirable
  • Relevant third-level qualification desirable
  • Strong leadership skills including goal setting, motivating, training, and mentorship
  • Performance-focused with strong budgeting capabilities
