Bar Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Bar Operations Manager to oversee the full bar operation within a busy hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities include leading and supervising daily bar operations across all outlets, ensuring smooth service delivery and maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and product quality throughout all bar areas.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to enhance service standards, product knowledge, and upselling techniques among bar staff.
  • Monitor cash handling and float accuracy, reporting and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Oversight of stock management, including ordering, rotation, and weekly stocktaking with set targets.
  • Design and develop drinks menus in line with guest expectations and market trends.
  • Drive revenue and profitability through effective cost control and innovative promotions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, licensing laws, and HACCP requirements.
  • Foster a positive team environment that promotes development and retention.
  • Support wider hospitality operations during peak business levels, including events and functions.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a hospitality venue or hotel.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a focus on guest service.
  • Sound understanding of bar financials, including gross profit margins and stock control.
  • Proven ability to manage, train, and motivate a team.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Strong product knowledge across beverages, including wines, cocktails, and craft trends.
