Electrical Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our expanding Transmission & Distribution team.

The successful candidate will support projects including Low Voltage (LV) pharmaceutical plants, and wind farm and solar farm substations.

Prior experience in these areas is highly desirable but not essential.

This full-time staff position is based out of our Cork Office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing electrical control systems and instrumentation for power generation and energy systems.
  • Developing detailed schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Producing drawings, wiring schematics, lists, and data sheets using AutoCAD and EPLAN.
  • Developing PLC and SCADA software for control and monitoring systems.
  • Overseeing the installation of control systems and instrumentation equipment.
  • Collaborating with technicians and contractors to ensure proper implementation.
  • Undertaking Factory and Site Acceptance Testing.
  • Commissioning of control systems in the field.
  • Providing guidance and training to junior and graduate engineers.

Requirements

  • A Level 8 Degree in Electrical or Energy Engineering.
  • 3+ years' experience in electrical or automation engineering.
  • Knowledge of process instrumentation and wiring.
  • Experience with control networks and communications systems.
  • Knowledge and experience in the Energy sector.
  • Experience using software such as EPLAN/AutoCAD/Amtech/Primtech/Elek.
  • Knowledge of Excel for calculations.
