At Designer Group, we are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our successful finance team. Due to business growth within Ireland & internationally, this role is responsible for processing and managing accounts payable transactions in a high-volume multi-currency environment.
The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure invoices are properly approved, matched to purchase orders & good receipt notes, and accurately processed in accordance with company procedures. This includes resolving any discrepancies or queries with vendors promptly, collaborating with internal teams in response to discrepancies and inquiries, and preparing and processing weekly payment runs.
This role also involves maintaining and monitoring designated Accounts Payable email inboxes, reconciling monthly vendor statements, addressing any discrepancies, and maintaining positive vendor relationships. Additionally, weekly reports will be provided for internal distribution, and process changes to vendor account set-ups will be processed as required.
As a key member of the Accounts Payable team, you will provide backup for other team members as needed and perform ad-hoc administrative duties. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a high-volume, multi-jurisdiction Accounts Payable function, be self-motivated and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and possess effective communication skills across a range of stakeholders.
We offer a full-time position from Monday to Friday, with hybrid working arrangements allowing for four days per week in our Dublin 15 head office and one day per week from home (post-probation).
