Infrastructure Development Expert Required

A dynamic and established Infrastructure Development team is seeking a Principal Engineer to join their Dublin, Galway or Cork office in Ireland. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering development infrastructure schemes locally and nationally.


The successful engineer will work on a diverse range of projects at all stages, from feasibility through to detailed design and construction. They will provide high quality civil engineering support and services to clients, including developers, retailers, landowners, housebuilders, blue-chip companies, and universities.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver: High-quality civil engineering designs and solutions for complex development infrastructure projects.
  • Oversee: Project-stage tasks, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and provide guidance to entry-level engineers.
  • Provide Expertise: Technical knowledge on drainage design, particularly during conceptual phases and implementation.
  • Ensure Quality: Adhere to QA/QC procedures, identify programme and budget risks, and facilitate collaboration with clients to overcome challenges.

Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Chartered status with the Institution of Engineers of Ireland or Institution of Civil Engineers or relevant Institution.
  • Relevant work experience in designing and delivering civil infrastructure from inception to handover, including SUDs, water main distribution pipelines, storm and foul networks, surface water analysis, flood risk assessments, highway/pavement design, earthworks modelling, and DMRB/DMURS.
  • Familiarity with software such as Microdrainage or InfoDrainage, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
