You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, maintaining computerized accounting records, reconciling control accounts, and producing VAT reports. You will also assist in the preparation of year-end accounts and supporting work papers, communicate with clients to resolve queries, and liaise with relevant authorities as required.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Support a team of experienced accountants in preparing routine financial reports.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, including posting transactions to the Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, and Bank Accounts.
  • Reconcile control accounts, including Bank Reconciliations.
  • Produce VAT reports and handle ROS filing.
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts and supporting work papers.
  • Communicate with clients to resolve queries and follow up on outstanding matters.
  • Liaise with relevant authorities as required.
  • Report and collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an accountancy practice is essential.
  • Proficiency with computerized accounting software packages is required.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • A proactive, go-getter attitude with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • An eagerness to progress within the practice and continue developing accounting expertise.
