We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Residential Support Worker in Kerry. This rewarding role will involve working with individuals with disabilities, empowering them to live independent lives within their residential home and community.
Main Responsibilities:- Foster a supportive environment that enables service users to develop their skills and confidence.
- Provide safe and reliable transportation to facilitate access to daily living activities.
- Contribute to household duties, such as cooking, laundry, cleaning, and shopping, ensuring a comfortable living space.
- Maintain effective communication and relationships with colleagues.
- Evaluate and mitigate potential hazards, reporting incidents and concerns to ensure a safe working environment.
- PARTICIPATE IN TEAM MEETINGS, SUPERVISIONS, TRAINING, AND EVENTS TO PROMOTE COLLABORATION AND PROFESSIONAL GROWTH.
- Hold a relevant QQI qualification within the healthcare sector, minimum Level 5 major award (with 8 modules completed).
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Possess a full clean manual driving license and have access to your own transport.
- Demonstrate excellent spoken and written English language skills.
- Knowledge of HIQA standards is essential.
- Experience in social care or a related field is highly valued.
