Operations Maintenance Technician

We are seeking an experienced Operations Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. This challenging role requires excellent organising and communication skills.

About the Role
  • This is a key position within our operations team, responsible for ensuring all plant and equipment on site is repaired and serviced to recognised standards.
  • You will be working closely with the Depot and Operations Managers, Section Leaders and Control Room to resolve difficulties and enquiries.
  • Achieving high levels of customer satisfaction through efficient maintenance practices and excellent problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Organise team maintenance and required equipment to ensure that operation and maintenance of machinery is completed safely and efficiently.
  2. Monitor staff attendance and take remedial action where necessary.
  3. Oversee workflow, identifying potential problems and taking corrective action promptly.
  4. Liaise effectively with various stakeholders to resolve queries and issues.
  5. E nsure smooth transition of traffic across the machine while prioritising Health and Safety.
  6. Timely completion of required documentation, including recording sheets.
  7. Maintain operational and maintenance procedures in accordance with the Group Operations Manual.
  8. Ensure equipment is stored securely and report any defects promptly.
Requirements
  • Self-motivated individual with strong organisational skills.
  • Holding a City and Guilds Electrical/Mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in electrical/mechanical maintenance.
  • Able to read electrical schematic drawings and understand PLC controlled equipment.
  • Flexible approach to shift patterns.
  • Understanding of health and safety legislation.
  • Full driving licence.
Benefits

This is a 39-hour per week position, Monday to Friday 08:00 hours to 17:00 hours, with a competitive salary, shift allowance and benefits package.
