Responsibilities within the position:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate cost records, including cost of goods sold, inventory valuation, and overhead allocation.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with cost standards and identify areas for efficiency gains.
  • Conduct regular cost variance analyses and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts, focusing on cost drivers and potential risks.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulations related to cost accounting practices.
  • Communicate complex financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, providing documentation and explanations for cost-related matters.


Qualifications and experiences:

  • ">
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants), or ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant).
  • 3+ years experience
  • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

This is a full-time position within an easy commute to all towns in Kerry. Salary is open to negotiation and based on experience.
