Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to lead our financial operations, driving performance and growth in a fast-paced retail environment.

About the Role

  • Oversee day-to-day finance functions, ensuring accurate management accounts, cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Prepare timely and precise monthly and year-end financial reports
  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes across the organisation
  • Provide actionable financial insights to support operational and strategic decisions
  • Collaborate with store managers and department heads to monitor and control costs
  • Work closely with external auditors and manage year-end audit processes
  • Develop and enhance internal controls, financial systems, and procedures; lead a small finance team of 4
  • Drive continuous improvement and automation within finance processes
  • Support stock control, margin analysis, and retail performance metrics

Requirements

  • Certified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 2-3 years PQE
  • Background in retail/FMCG/multi-company setup highly desirable
  • Proven ability to manage and lead a small finance team
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable, reconciliations, and multi-company reporting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Business Central and advanced Excel
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills; able to guide and motivate the team
  • Hands-on approach with a track record of delivering accurate monthly accounts and driving process improvements
  • Excellent communication skills to partner effectively with senior management
  • Ability to balance hands-on transactional work with oversight and improvements
