Senior Occupational Therapist in Acute Medicine

This is a senior position for an occupational therapist in the acute medicine department. The successful candidate will deliver expert occupational therapy services to patients, working closely with the multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive occupational therapy programs for patients with complex needs.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and provide individualized interventions to meet patient goals.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and optimal outcomes.
  • Supervise and mentor junior occupational therapists and students.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of occupational therapy services.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A Master's degree or equivalent in occupational therapy.
  • Registration with the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
  • At least three years of post-qualification experience as an occupational therapist in the adult acute hospital setting.
  • Clinical experience working with Acute Medicine and Care of the Elderly caseloads.
  • A proven record of clinical/academic achievement in the specialist area.
