Job Overview

TN Ireland is seeking a highly skilled Grid Connection Specialist to join its Grid Delivery team.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of TN Ireland's project pipeline to energisation, working closely with experts in managing project delivery workstreams throughout the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of relevant Construction and Health & Safety standards and regulations in Ireland and/or the UK, as well as technical expertise in electricity networks and grid connection methodologies.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with subcontractors, design teams, suppliers, network operators, and owner's engineers.
  • Implementing rigorous quality assurance and control processes to ensure all construction work meets or exceeds the technical specifications, industry standards and best practice safety processes.
  • Coordinating and evaluating compliance with grid code requirements and technical standards for high voltage equipment standards.
  • Analysing and reporting test results related to grid primary and secondary equipment.
  • Reviewing design documents to effectively support projects and mitigate technical risks at all stages of project delivery.
  • Proactively identifying and addressing technical issues, taking preventive measures, and managing deviations from project schedule, budget, or scope.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders to manage the design and delivery process, with a focus on providing technical grid connection designs and installation.
  • Conducting site visits and supporting project delivery teams to mitigate challenges from installation through to commissioning and compliance testing.
