At St. Michaels House, we are committed to delivering exceptional mental health services to individuals with intellectual disabilities. As a Senior Psychologist in our Mental Health in Intellectual Disability team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive assessments and interventions to individuals and groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team of Psychology, Psychiatry, and Nursing to deliver high-quality care
  • Conduct psychotherapeutic assessments and interventions for individuals and groups
  • Support staff teams and families as needed

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A postgraduate qualification in Clinical or Counselling psychology that meets the HSE requirements for employment as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist
  • A minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience working as a Staff/Basic Grade Psychologist with adults who have intellectual disabilities and mental health difficulties

We value excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work with complex cases. If you have no prior public sector experience, you will be placed on point 1 of the pay-scale.
