Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team in Dublin. The successful candidate will contribute to the development, testing, and maintenance of Azure HPC/AI Images.

This role offers the opportunity to learn from experts and contribute to the Azure HPC/AI infrastructure that supports scientific research, AI innovation, and mission-critical workloads worldwide.

Main Responsibilities
  • Determine user requirements for features.
  • Contribute to design documents and develop code for products or services.
  • Implement designs, reuse code as applicable, and estimate efforts to break down larger work items into smaller ones.
  • Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) on-call to monitor system/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND technical engineering experience with coding in Bash, C, C++, C#, Python, or Go; OR equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with Linux or Windows system programming, distributed systems, or cloud services.
  • Hands-on experience with HPC/AI clusters and workloads, MPI libraries, GPU computing, or large-scale cluster environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND technical engineering experience with coding in Bash, C, C++, C#, Python, or Go; OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of high-speed networking concepts (InfiniBand, RDMA, NVLink) and parallel file systems (Lustre, BeeGFS).
