Clinical Nurse Manager 2 Role
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager 2 to lead our HSE GP out of hours services in Navan and Drogheda. The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational management of the treatment centre, line managing drivers, receptionists, and nurses.
- Provide clinical governance to nurses, overseeing all aspects of the service including health and safety, policy development, medication management, and some clinical shifts each week.
- Work closely with an interdisciplinary team, requiring strong interpersonal skills to deal with staff, doctors, members of the public, and suppliers.
- Manage rosters, deal with complaints, and draft policies and procedures.
- Responsible for medication management, including ordering, audits, and stock control, as well as carrying out hygiene audits.
Requirements:
- Significant experience in paediatrics, dealing with cardiac patients, and managing anaphylaxis cases.
- Experience managing an interdisciplinary team.
- Roster management, complaint handling, and policy drafting.
- Medication management and hygiene audits.
Benefits:
- Full-time hours in both Navan and Drogheda services.
- Service open from 6pm - 8am weekdays and 24 hours over weekends and public holidays.
- Commitment until end of January 2025.
