Healthcare Assistant Job Opportunity

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated professionals to join our team as Healthcare Assistants.

About the Role:

  1. Deliver high-quality, person-centred care according to residents' care plans by prioritising their needs and preferences.
  2. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, promoting a sense of community and belonging.
  3. Assist with mobility and personal hygiene, ensuring residents' dignity and comfort at all times.
  4. Support residents with eating, drinking, and achieving comfort through tailored assistance.
  5. Participate in and help organise social activities that cater to diverse interests and abilities.
  6. Maintain effective communication with families and colleagues, providing regular updates and support.
  7. Adhere to relevant policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Requirements:

  1. Must possess EU citizenship for eligibility.
  2. Hold QQI Level 5 or equivalent qualifications such as Healthcare Assistant, Care Assistant, Nurse Assistant, Social Care, Special Needs, Nursing Care Technician, Technician in Care for People, Support Worker, Psychology, and/or Nurse qualifications.
  3. Prior experience in elderly care is highly desirable but not essential.
  4. Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse individuals.
  5. Ability to follow instructions and procedures while maintaining flexibility and adaptability in the workplace.
  6. Excellent organisational and observation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  7. A professional, caring, and compassionate nature, with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
  8. Ability to work well both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
