Assembly Methods Specialist

This role involves providing technical support to engineers in set-up and calibration tasks. The successful candidate will perform rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
- The ideal candidate will have experience with braiding and lamination as well as balloon catheter development or manufacturing.
Key skills for this role include excellent communication and organizational skills, professional interaction with client companies, and ability to work in controlled and cleanroom environments.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop delivery systems for client companies.
- Assemble, test, and package complex mechanical devices following written and verbal instructions.
- Collaborate with engineers to design and develop assembly methods.
- Maintain accurate work records such as engineering notebooks and routers.
- Train assemblers, technicians, and engineers in assembly methods.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Assist with in-process testing to ensure products meet specifications.
- Operate computer, laboratory, and manufacturing equipment to test and develop prototype products.
- Keep work areas clean and organized according to procedures.
- Assist in maintaining product traceability.
- Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Implement good working practices and procedures.
- Ensure all products are built to the highest quality standards.
Requirements:
- Technical Diploma advantageous.
- Experience with braiding and lamination desirable.
- Experience in balloon catheter development or manufacturing desirable.
