">We're seeking a Mental Health Professional to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will work with young people aged 12-25, undertaking initial mental health assessments, providing evidence-informed brief therapeutic interventions, and conducting risk assessments and implementing risk management plans as appropriate.
">Responsibilities

- Initial mental health assessments with young people focusing on both strengths and difficulties.">
- Evidence-informed brief therapeutic interventions to young people.">
- Risk assessments and implementing risk management plans as appropriate.">
- Clinical supervision and line management for support and guidance.">
- Working in accordance with Jigsaw policies, procedures, and guidelines.">
- Case management meetings, team meetings, and other meetings as deemed necessary.">
- Liaising and consulting with other professionals in supporting the mental health of young people attending Jigsaw.">
- Maintaining accurate, confidential records of practice using the Jigsaw Data System.">
- Complying with responsibilities under the Data Protection Acts 1988, 2003 & 2018 (GDPR).">
- Sharing information with the Jigsaw Clinical Manager, Service Manager, Jigsaw team, and other stakeholders as appropriate.">
- Contributing to research, audit, and evaluation of the service as required.">
- Maintaining professional and personal boundaries.">
- Engaging in outreach work as required.">
- Demonstrating an open and flexible attitude to work at all times.">
- Flexible working hours in line with the needs of the service, including evenings.">
Requirements
">To be successful in this role, you will require:
">- ">
- A Doctorate or equivalent in Clinical/Counselling/Educational Psychology and/or Chartered Clinical/Counselling/Educational Psychologist through PSI, or registration as a Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, or Psychotherapist accredited by the Irish Council for Psychotherapy (ICP) or the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP).">
- Experience working in health and social care, therapeutic, or related organisational settings supporting people with their mental health needs.">
- Experience working therapeutically with young people aged 12-25 years.">
- Experience of applying core clinical/therapeutic skills; assessment, formulation, risk management, intervention, and evaluation in mental health roles/settings.">
- Experience of delivering evidence-informed mental health interventions, e.g., brief solution-focused therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, etc.">
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.">
- Strong time management skills and ability to manage a busy workload.">
- Capacity to work co-operatively as part of a team.">
- Competence in MS Office, Office 365, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.">
