The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with clients to prepare and review financial statements according to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Key responsibilities include assisting clients in optimizing various business functions, including projects related to the financial statement process. The role also involves reviewing and remediating business processes and potentially providing short-term interim staffing assignments.
To succeed in this role, candidates must possess experience in the financial services/funds industry and a minimum of 1 year of post-qualification experience (PQE). Audit experience with large Irish companies or multinational entities is desirable but not mandatory.
Required skills include knowledge of complex financial instruments and proficiency as an accountant, with a strong understanding of IFRS, US GAAP, and regulatory requirements specific to the funds industry.
Other key attributes include strong computer skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. A recognized accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or an equivalent certification is also essential.
