"My Client is a leading distributor seeking an experienced Goods In/Out Night Supervisor to oversee the smooth operation of their Galway distribution depot. The appointed individual will be responsible for managing the cross-docking process, including line management of a team consisting of shunters and loaders, with health and safety accountability.
The successful candidate will have a counterbalance truck license and 1-2 years' experience in a busy warehouse environment. A Manual Handling Certificate is also desirable.
The key responsibilities include scheduling goods to be received, sorting deliveries, and ensuring customer deliveries are re-loaded onto the correct trucks for multi-drops in a timely manner for dispatch. Direct supervision of personnel assigned, including third-party employees/drivers, is also required. Additionally, maintaining a good housekeeping regime, managing returns, empty pallets, combies, trays, and ensuring third parties adhere to site rules are crucial aspects of the role.
