Job Description
This role involves conducting comprehensive psychological assessments, developing and implementing individualised treatment plans, and providing therapeutic support to children and adolescents with a range of developmental, emotional, and behavioural challenges. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of child development and be able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate cognitive, emotional, social, and behavioural functioning in children and adolescents
- Develop and implement individualised treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic techniques
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care for clients
- Provide consultation and support to parents, caregivers, and relevant stakeholders to promote effective strategies for support
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other records in accordance with professional and ethical standards
Requirements
A doctorate in educational psychology, clinical psychology, or counselling psychology is required. Must be registered with the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) as a psychologist. ADOS training and experience in autism diagnostic assessments are desirable. Minimum of two years of post-qualification experience in clinical practice, preferably working with children and adolescents.
