The Role: Female Counsellor
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced counsellor to join our team in Dublin. As a Female Counsellor, you will play a vital role in delivering one-to-one counselling, group work, and care planning to female clients with complex needs.
Main Duties:- Ensure the day-to-day operations of the service run smoothly in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Work as part of the team with regular and consistent communication.
- Participate actively in all team meetings and be open to reasonable requests from the Service Coordinator.
You will work within the policies of MQI, both organisation-wide and project-specific, to ensure consistent delivery and quality standards are adhered to. Additionally, you will build strong interagency connections to develop referral pathways into and on from the service.
Staffing:- Provide continuity and support for students, part-time, and voluntary workers.
- Work as part of a team and actively participate in the running of the service.
- Liaise with the Multi-disciplinary team using a case management approach in the best interests of the client.
As a key member of the team, you will work with the Service Coordinator in the assessment and identification of client needs. You will also support clients through the facilitation of one-to-one counselling, care planning, therapeutic group work, and psycho-educational workshops.
Client Needs:- Develop individualised care plans for clients.
- Be up to date and aware of good practices and procedures in the delivery of services to our clients.
- Signpost and refer clients to other services as appropriate and facilitate clients to access local services such as medical, welfare, and advocating on their behalf.
You will liaise with internal and external agencies in identifying progression pathways for clients. This may involve working with designated clients in accordance with structures agreed with the Service Coordinator.
Administrative:- Comply with the Service Coordinator's requirements in relation to all appropriate paperwork and filing of data relevant to the service.
- Feed into the preparation of reports, statistics, and other information that may be required.
- Ensure that all relevant client records are logged on MQI's CRM database.
You will also attend all training sessions, workshops, and courses as advised by the Service Coordinator and support the transference of learning to workers, trainees, students, and volunteers on the Project.
General:- Maintain good relationships with external agencies and stakeholders on behalf of the Project.
- Be up to date and aware of best practice and procedures in relation to Health and Safety in the workplace.
- Become familiar with and ensure that all MQI's policies and procedure are being adhered to, particularly those relating to Health & Safety, HR, Confidentiality, Boundaries, and Staff Code of Ethics.
