This position requires a unique blend of technical, business, and legal expertise to navigate the complexities of AI and data protection regulations. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent degree from an accredited law school and license or qualification to practice law in Ireland (bonus for UK too). You'll have 4+ years of privacy experience and 4+ years of product counseling and/or commercial transactional experience. CIPP/E is required, CIPP/US is useful to have.

About xAI

This role is based in Dublin, Ireland and may require up to 25% travel to various locations.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead xAI's European privacy and data protection efforts, including operations subject to GDPR and the EU AI Act.
  • Negotiate and handle privacy and commercial agreements with customers, vendors, suppliers, and partners.
  • Interact with privacy regulatory authorities.
  • Partner closely with technical, product, procurement, and commercial teams to implement privacy-by-design and counsel on privacy, product, and commercial matters.

You will be working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative solutions to complex legal challenges, ensuring that xAI remains at the forefront of AI development and data protection regulations.
