- Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental, emotional, and social abilities to identify areas for improvement and develop personalized plans.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based strategies to support clients' goals and objectives.
- Regularly review and update treatment plans in collaboration with clients, families, and team members to ensure effective care.
- Deliver targeted interventions to address clients' daily living skills, vocational needs, community participation, and social engagement.
- Facilitate group activities focused on mental health recovery, coping strategies, and social skills.
- Provide education and support to clients and families on adaptive techniques, lifestyle changes, and available resources.
- Empower clients to set and work toward personal goals, develop self-advocacy skills, and build resilience through a recovery-oriented approach.
- Support clients in accessing social, vocational, and educational opportunities to promote community integration and personal growth.
- Offer guidance on stress management, time management, and wellness planning to support clients' long-term stability and recovery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate, confidential records of assessments, interventions, and progress notes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Registration with CORU as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience in mental health settings, preferably community mental health.
- Strong knowledge of mental health recovery principles, therapeutic techniques, and occupational therapy interventions.
