We are seeking a skilled underwriter to join our team in Rathfarnham, Dublin 16. As a Financial Lines Risk Specialist, you will be responsible for the underwriting of various financial lines products including Professional Indemnity, Medical Malpractice, Directors & Officers Liability, Cyber Insurance, Life Sciences and Event Cancellation.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Financial Lines manager to develop and grow products with new and existing capacity providers. You will also participate in binder renewals and capital provider audits, meet sales targets while maintaining underwriting standards, and proactively manage policy renewals.
You will have the opportunity to work with brokers to retain business, process mid-term amendments, and develop a detailed understanding of all our financial lines products. Building relationships with brokers through correspondence, phone calls, and attending meetings when required is also an essential aspect of this role.
To succeed in this position, you will need to be results-driven, able to make own decisions, and work on your own initiative. You should have a proven track record in underwriting, hold a CIP qualification, and have experience of dealing with brokers and clients.
