Deputy Programme Editor TV News
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Programme Editor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the preparation and production of scheduled and special programmes.
- Provide editorial, production, and sub-editing support on TV News bulletins and during live coverage.
- Initiate news content and develop graphic and production ideas for reports on RTÉ bulletins and programmes.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Excellent editorial judgement, written, subbing, and scripting skills.
- A strong understanding of news and current affairs.
- Good interpersonal and team skills.
- An ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
Benefits:
This is a full-time, ongoing contract position with a competitive salary scale of €79,466 to €89,219 gross per annum. We offer a range of benefits, including a supportive working environment and opportunities for professional development.
