We are seeking an experienced Staff Nurse to join our Medical Oncology team at UPMC Whitfield Hospital. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, supporting the development of our department, and contributing to the creation of a positive and inclusive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert patient care, prioritizing their safety and well-being at all times.">
  • Act as a preceptor to preregistration students, mentor new clinical staff, and support colleagues in their roles.">
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop effective communication and interpersonal relationships, promoting a collaborative working environment.">
  • Support the unit manager in meeting agreed responsibilities, identifying nursing/patient needs, and accepting accountability for the holistic care of a named group of patients.">

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a Registered General Nurse with The Nursing and Midwifery Bord of Ireland (NMBI) and have at least 1 year's post-registration oncology experience. You must also demonstrate ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and possess strong IT skills, including proficiency in Isoft and other relevant systems.
