This position offers a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise as a Security Engineer, Perimeter Protection and innovate automation in operations.
The successful candidate will possess a strong background in technical leadership, with experience in autonomously or collaboratively resolving complex issues. They will also have a deep understanding of network and/or application security, enabling effective communication of design best practices to customers.
This role demands exceptional operational excellence in supporting large-scale service providers or enterprise environments, including event management. As a technical leader, the candidate will develop and maintain complex stakeholder relationships, both technical and leadership. A keen interest in working with new technologies and pushing existing technology boundaries is highly desirable.
You will work closely with a diverse team of professionals, including software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other critical roles. Together, you will strive to deliver unparalleled safety and security standards while providing limitless capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with Amazon customers and service teams to identify and address ongoing events.
- Partner with various Amazon organizations to enhance their DDoS resilience and implement improvements.
- Develop and refine automation scripts and tools to streamline repeatable tasks.
- Contribute to the enhancement of automated detection and mitigation systems based on operational insights.
- Establish and track quality metrics to pinpoint recurring issues or inefficiencies, driving resolutions.
- Create and maintain documentation for recurring issues, operational procedures, and knowledge transfer.
- Provide strategic guidance to leadership on emerging trends and potential enhancements to DDoS resiliency.
- Foster growth and development within the team.
- Participate in the team's on-call rotation.
